Why We Love NASCAR

Actually, there are many reasons why we love Nascar, but just moments ago, roughly half-way through the Coca Cola 600, Nascar participated in the national moment of remembrance. The race cars pulled into pit road and shut off their engines. Every member of every pit crew lined up against the wall, all flags were lowered to half staff, and every fan in the stands stood for a moment of silence to remember all those who serve, and have served, to protect and defend the USA. It was a HUGE moment of patriotism, that ended with a very loud "God Bless America". A very moving tribute. Tears were being wiped away by fans, crew members and even some drivers while they waved little flags in their cars.

Every Nascar race begins with a prayer and the playing and singing of our National Anthem. May it always be so.

Thank you NASCAR for honoring our heroes, both on and especially off, the track.

Lets try again...

We are not NASCAR fans, but have heard that they do this. We *are* huge AMERICA fans, though, so this moves my heart. God bless America, indeed. Forever and ever, Amen.

Wasn't that just awe-inspring....no other sport, even baseball, embraces the core values of the US as muach as NASCAR does. I LOVE it!!!
